"Necessity is the mother of invention " is an old adage and the task of adapting new discoveries to the benefit of the populace at large falls to the Engineer. In keeping with the above ,the professors and students of DCE work relentlessly and assiduously towards attaining not only academic excellence but also concretising these as tangible and feasible products. In order to develop a closer understanding of the work they are preparing to engage in , a large number of talks by eminent personalities from the cognoscenti of Industry and the Intelligentsia are organised for the students.
Besides these, other training programs are also arranged to keep students abreast of the current developments in technology. One such workshop is the Surface Mount Technology workshop attended by the sophomores of Computer Science at the Center for Electronic Interconnection Technology. The course illustrates the importance of SMT in the miniaturisation of electronic circuits possible. Students also get a first hand experience watching the automated process as well as trying it out manually.
